What was an "ah ha" moment for you while you completed today's webquest?  Name something new that you learned about waves and/or oceans.

  1. an ah ha moment for me when i was reading and completing the task for today was i thought that all waves are manipulated by the winds until i read the ocean waves part of the assignment. thanks to the article I now know that tsunamis aren't caused by winds it is because it has a very long wavelength

  2. I didn't have a real "ah ha" moment today, but I learned what a rogue wave was and how the climate is affected by the ocean patterns.

  3. It was interesting to me to find out that the ocean recycles its water. One AhHa moment that i had though was when I found out that rogue waves didn't follow the flow of other waves, but rather went against other waves.

  4. An "ah ha" Moment for me was when I was reading about the Rogue waves and how they are really huge, and don't travel in the same direction as the other waves. I learned that the movement of water gives of heat which can contribute to global warming.

  5. My "Ah ha" moment when I saw the tsunami's don't need wind to ne created because I thought it was wind and earthquakes and shows how powerful the earth crust really is.

  6. A new thing I learned about waves are that some waves like rogue waves go in different directions than the others. I also learned that tsunami are not made by winds

  7. My "ah ha" moment was thinking about things that have a large impact on the Earth's climate as their were so many; and I said humans have the greatest impact. One thing I learned that all waves are not caused by wind.

  8. My "ah ha" moment was when I realized that marine life depends on us. If we continue to pollute our oceans and other bodies of water our marine life will start to decline and become eventually extinct. The movement of water in the oceans transports heat, so it has a large impact on Earth’s climate was something new that I learned today.
